Celebrate the Best Love

Thanks for stopping by. I hope you had a wonderful Christmas and are looking forward to an amazing new year. We had a great Christmas filled with family, friends, and of course lots of food and presents! Everyone was feeling well for Christmas day but before and after were not good. We've made a couple of trips to Urgent Care and have gone through our fair share of Tylenol and Motrin. I hope that we're all on the mend now.

I've got lots of fun projects coming up that I need to get finished before CHA. I can't wait to show you all of the fun things I've been working on.

Here's a project that I recently finished for American Crafts. I've been wanting to dive in and create with the Dear Lizzy ruffle paper. It was so much fun to work with.

My husband and I have been married for 13 years. On our anniversary my oldest son took this photo of us together. I don't think any marriage is easy and ours certainly isn't either. But we're so happy together!

There's still some of this ruffled paper in stock at Paper Issues (it's sold out almost everywhere) get yours HERE. If you use the code 'becki20' you'll get 20% off your order.
Thanks for stopping by! Come back soon for a peek at lots of great stuff coming for Winter CHA 2014.

Another Neighbor Gift Idea

Are you looking for ideas for a last minute neighbor gift? I just may have that magic idea right here ;) Just a day or two before Christmas I plan on making a few loaves of fresh homemade bread to deliver to my neighbors. I created these wraps to attach to each loaf.

I hope this idea helps you with any last minute gifts. Merry Christmas!!

December Memories Instead of December Daily

I'm not very good at taking photos daily especially in December! Things are way too hectic and I always forget so I don't do a December Daily album. I do however record our December memories in what I call a December Memories album. I record the highlights of the month. I take photos and a few notes during the month and then I compile the album later in the season, usually January or February.
I used the Paper Camellia December Days add on kit to create this album.
Here's the cover:

And a few of the inside pages:

I'd love to hear how you record your December Memories!

Chic Tags and Paper Issues

Good Morning. It's another cold morning here, in fact, the kids are out of school because the wind chill is -20 degrees. We're keeping warm inside today. We'll be wrapping presents and watching Christmas movies.
Today over at Paper Issues there's a new issue sponsored by Chic Tags. I got a chance to play with some goodies from Chic Tags and I must say I'm their newest fan. Their patterned paper is amazing. It's so thick and the tags are adorable!

So, here's what I came up with for the theme of "my happy place"

I cut the title with my Silhouette.
I doodled a bit with a white pen and added some splatters of Heidi Swapps color shine.
 And here's the finished product...
Stay safe and stay warm today! Thanks for stopping by :)

Sequins &Transparencies

Hi there! I hope you're cozy warm and safe today. It's -2 degrees at my house today with a windchill of -12. It's supposed to be a whole 10 degrees for the high today...needless to say, I'm not leaving my house today. It's a good day for me to turn the heat up and spend some time at my scrapbooking desk. What are you creating today?

I have project to share with you from Bella Blvd. I used the new Christmas Countdown collection to create this project. I also used a transparency, sequins and my sewing machine to create a huge shaker box that is the base of my layout.
I used a printable transparency and printed my journaling so it's on the top layer of the shaker box.
I then built the rest of my layout on the transparency and stitched it to my background with a few sequins in between the cardstock and the transparency.
 And here's the completed project.
Stay warm and have a great Wednesday!

Paper Camellia December Kits

Whew, its been a busy weekend filled with family, friends, and lots of food! Our Thanksgiving was wonderful, I hope yours was as well. The Paper Camellia kits went live over the weekend and are almost sold out! Have you ordered yours? Hurry, order here, if you haven't already! These kits are amazing!

Here's what I've created with the December Main Kit and Add On:

I wanted to create a layout using LOTS of patterned paper so I decided to g o with a simple grid design. I cut two inch squares and stitched them to the page.

There are plenty of supplies in the kit that are not December or Christmas related. I created this project about my daughter playing baseball this summer.

Have a great day!
